Carry Me Away - Chapter 5I let N drag me most of the way. I didn't care enough about where we were going- I wanted to understand what he had told me. But, as per usual, any viable answers eluded me. I didn't say a word, even when we made it to the quaint, low-populace city. I got the feeling that N would have been glancing over his shoulder to make sure I was still there if he hadn't been holding my hand.
Slipping my hand away from his, I cradled Fireflash more carefully in my one arm. The little Cyndaquil stirred, squeaking softly. I hushed her soothingly. "It's okay." I whispered. I followed N like a shadow, trying to lure Fireflash back to sleep.
"Do you want me to take her?" N offered.
This resulted in a flurry of squeaks and a Cyndaquil trying to burrow into my chest.
N snickered softly. "Nevermind, I guess."
"Let's go find some place to sit for a while." I said, rolling my eyes. Without waiting to see if N was coming, I made my way through the small town, following the sound of the ocean. Finally coming
Carry Me Away - Chapter 4I moaned softly, my senses flickering back to consciousness. I slowly stretched and rolled onto my stomach. For a moment, that wasn't unusual- until I wondered why I wasn't on the floor. Opening my eyes to slits against the morning light, I looked around me.
"Good morning, sunshine." N smirked as my gaze caught his. His lean frame was draped across the chair that I distinctly remembered falling asleep on.
"The hell ?" I muttered, biting back a yawn.
"I told you I wasn't going to let you sleep in that chair." N stated matter-of-factly, his gray eyes gleaming triumphantly.
I sighed and rolled over onto my back again, brushing my bangs out of my face. I wasn't exactly alert enough to argue, although I was kind of wondering why I was surprised. N kneeled down next to the bed, his chin resting on his crossed arms. I turned away from him.
"Are you mad at me?" He asked innocently.
"Annoyed." I grumbled drowsily.
"Might I ask why?" Was that a smile I was hearing in his voice?
"I was fine
Carry Me Away - Chapter 3"Touko! Touko, wake up!" A quiet, muffled voice hissed at me. I dug my way to the surface slowly, feeling more rested then I had in moons. Funny, how you never realize how tired you really were until you wake up. Out of habit, I squinted against the bright sunlight that wasn't yet flooding my room. Instead, the pale light filtering through my window was all manner of reds and pinks and purples.
"What time is it?" I mumbled, rubbing my eye with the heel of my palm. "It's sunrise. I woke up, and I wanted to go outside to see it."
"So why didn't you?"
"I wanted you to see it with me. Please, Touko? It's so lovely." N's wide gray eyes were so completely innocent and hopeful, that there was no way on Mew's green Earth that I could have possibly said no. I crawled out of my cocoon and swiftly twisted my hair into a bun, just barely in time before N was all but pulling me outside.
I gasped, just a tiny bit, at the sight. I was never up early enough to see a sunrise. The way the colors dappled
Carry Me Away - Chapter 2It felt so great to be home. We'd walked, and I'd pointed out all the familiar places that Cheren, Bianca, and I had used as playgrounds. N listened with keen interest, even though his own childhood had been nothing but different. I had to respect his ability to do that. I showed him around Nuvema, too; Cheren's house, Bianca's house he flinched a little when I pointed to Professor Juniper's lab. Was he remembering that time at Chargestone Cave, like I was?
I didn't bother to ask, instead opting for dragging him up to my house. "But, your mother " He tried to protest nervously.
" will be completely euphoric to meet you." I assured, completing his unfinished argument and turning it against him. I tugged on N's wrist lightly and knocked on my own door, dropping his wrist as I opened it. "Mom! You home? It's Touko!" I called.
I honestly think my mom teleported to my side. "Touko!" She cried, gripping me in a tight hug.
I gasped with some trouble, "Love you, too, Mom "
Carry Me Away - Chapter 1The feeling of flying was completely different on Zekrom's back. I was used to flying with Colbert, grasping carefully at clumps of feathers to keep from falling. On Zekrom's broad back I could practically get up and walk around.
Of course, that was hard, with the speed Zekrom flew at. The flight was punctuated by the constant sound of wind and static, and it didn't take long before I was pulling Ruach's Master Ball out of my bag and tossing it out in front of me. I jumped off of Zekrom's back, where Ruach's waiting back caught my fall. I thanked her, throwing a handful of Pecha berries for her to catch. I laid down on my stomach, stretched across her back, running my fingers through the alabaster down on her neck that was so fine it felt like fur.
I looked up at the great shadow of Zekrom to see N looking back at me. He smirked and turned back around. I rolled my eyes and laid my head against Ruach's neck, rubbing one of the gleaming collars that encircled it. Ruach made a crooning so
Carry Me Away - Prolouge"Reshiram is challenging you. She wants to battle, to test you. She wants to see how strongly you will fight for what you believe in as do I. Show us both how powerful you can be. Befriend Reshiram; make her your ally- you, her chosen one.
N's voice rang distantly in my ears. Static like an off radio station accompanied it- the bi-product of that deep black Dragon, Zekrom, towering over him. But I wasn't fully aware of that, any more than I was of the shimmers of heat from the vast white Dragon. Blue eyes locked with blue eyes as I stared up at Reshiram. Her deep intelligence glittered a challenge at me.
"Challenge accepted." Taking a few steps back, I pulled a Pokéball from my bag. Tossing the ball in a high arc, my Zweilous came forth from it, issuing his hissing cry. Reshiram howled and with the call, flames rose up around her with Fusion Flare. "Kerberos, use Dragon Pulse!"
As Reshiram's Fusion Flare landed a hit, Kerberos resiliently shook it off. Gasping, the two heads
